5 Natural Alternatives To Clear Sun Tan

It takes a few seconds of exposure to sun light for your skin to start tanning.

While getting a sun tan may sound appealing to some, it it not quite a thing for people who don’t want their skin to look more pigmented than it already is.

So if you are among the former category, try reading another article on my blog.. I write about a lot of other things too 🙂

If you are still reading this, you probably want to get rid of that tan on your skin. So keep reading 🙂

The market is flooded with a lot of products that claim to clear excess pigmentation from the skin. Some are effective, while some are not.

Some are just a cocktail of chemicals, while some claim to be infused with natural ingredients.

This article lists natural alternatives that are easily available for much lower prices to clear tan and reveal a bright and glowing skin.

Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, an anti oxidant. It has many benefits for the skin which include clearing sun tan, treating acne, tightening pores and are said to have anti aging properties.

You can blend them and apply as a mask or just rub a few slices on your face. Wash after 15 minutes and rejoice when you see the results 🙂

This is my personal favourite. Whether or not your skin is tanned. You can eat or apply them on your skin for bright and glowing skin.

It is rich in an enzyme called papain which is found in many detox and whitening products, anti oxidants, vitamins, fiber, protein and a lot of other minerals.

Potatoes are rich in Vitamin C. They have skin whitening properties. You can apply them on your face to clear tan and dark circles. They are also said to be helpful with sun burn and pimples.

Place potato slices or puree on on your face for 30 minutes for optimum results.

Lemon is popular for being loaded with Vitamin C and skin cleansing properties.

Apply some lemon juice directly or mixed with honey on your face for 6-8 minutes. If you are applying directly, rinse earlier if it burns.

Raw Milk

Raw Milk is also effective in removing tan. There are so many tan removal products that claim to have milk as an ingredient.

Apply it on your skin directly or mix with honey or tomato juice. Leave for 15-20 minutes and rinse.

There are a lot of other alternatives like rubbing ice, carrots, turmeric and sunflower seeds which are said to have skin brightening properties but I have not tried them yet so didn’t list them along.

Do mention in the comments if any of these (or something else) worked for you. 🙂
