Feeling Bad Just Doesn’t Feel Good!
No matter how bad and for how long a person has been stuck with depression, sadness, or even just a poker face. If you are not excited about your day, even if you have challenges ahead, you are doing it all wrong.
What matters is a person’s attitude towards whatever is happening, and not the thing that is happening to them. Easier said than done, I know. But it can be done.
So here are 5 things that you can do to uplift your mood and get into the right frame of mind to deal with all that comes to you in the best possible manner.
GO, General!
If you follow the teachings of Abraham Hicks, you probably know what I am talking about.
It is not easy to switch your thoughts from a point of what you dont want to what you want in an instant.
And because of that, even though you may or may not believe in the Law of Attraction, stopping to think about the immediate problem at hand and deliberately thinking about something very general such as a butterfly or a dress you like or a random animal can help you stop focusing on the problem for a while and soothe your mind a little so that you can get back to the older thought with a fresh perspective.
Gratitude List
Start making a list of all the things that you are grateful for. The most basic ones, such as the organs that you have, the people who love you, the last meal you had, your clothes, your experiences, the lessons that you’ve learned. Everything that to can think of.
This will instantly bring you to a better feeling place. Make this a habit and you will notice a change in your thinking patterns.
Have A Cup Of Tea (Or Some Chicken Soup Maybe)
I am not talking about comfort eating!
What I am talking about is actually a Zen practice. Make sure that you are in a quiet room. Take a few deep breaths, get a cup of tea (or anything else warm and comforting) and savor every sip of it. Do not focus on anything else. Think about absolutely nothing. Just enjoy your tea. By the time you are done, you will realize that you feel far better and relaxed than you were earlier.
Spend Time In Nature
If you have a beach like the one in this picture nearby, You are Blessed! But something as simple as walking on some grass can do the job for you. There is something about nature that it will make you feel better than you already do, no matter what your problem is, and refresh your mind to deal with those problems with a better attitude after the break you need.

Great tips – I think that thinking general can be really grounding, as can getting out in nature, to get a break from the business of life and uplifting us. xx
